tax credits!!!!

hi, i have been having some problems with the tax credit over getting payment for my youngest daughter, me and my wife have been claim ctc for 2 years with 2 children, 4 months ago my wife gave birth to our 3rd daughter, i informed tax credits within a week of the birth, and have not recived any extra payments since, have been calling every other day since, now, they telling me, my claim is going to be referd to the tax credit office, so what happens? now 
, will i wait longer for a payment?
