Decking - maintenance/replacement?
Hi
We moved recently and the new house has two good sized areas of decking. A main deck of about 4m x 10m (plus a couple of side bits), plus a large balcony. Decking is supposedly teak, it is 4/5 years old and showing signs of twisting, warping etc. planks are held down by pins/nails (not screws).
Firstly, is there anything that I can do to help "maintain" it (ie reduce the warping/twisting)? Like going along and tapping more pins in etc? Will rinsing it down and recoiling help or is this mainly cosmetic?
Secondly, should we be considering replacing the decking with a composite decking? Is thisuch lower maintenance and longer lasting? Does anyone have experience of this sort of artificial decking?
Thanks
