driving licence question
When you change your licence, say changing address or lost and applying for a new one, is the driver number always the same or does it change.
Reason im asking my daughter has lost her licence and wants it replacing, however I have found a old licence that has a previous address. If the licence number always stays the same I may just be able to input the number online to change address.

All the big powers they've silenced me. So much for free speech and choice on this fundamental human right, and outing the liars.

I assumed it stayed the same
I'd give it a try, the computer will either accept it or reject it
Edited to add: but, if I'm right and the number is constant then unless she's moved since the lost licence was issued then she'll have to pay0 -

Driver number stays the same unless there is a change of name (eg, marriage).
If a name change occurs, a new driver number is created and the two records are cross linked.
The issue number is the only thing that changes every time a new licence is given out if all other details remain the same.Understeer is when you hit a wall with the front of your car

As she appears to have a photo-license, she can apply online and if my son is anything to go by, she will get it in the post 4 days later.Never Knowingly Understood.
