    OK thanks for the advice - I was wondering if you have links to any of these stories about people turning up on completion day with pet carriers only to be told it is a no pets building? Would be interesting to read their experiences and how they respond.

    Also when you say this is enforceable, do you know how a HA could enforce this other than telling us e.g. could there be a fine or would they send people round?

    I guess what I wanted to hear from everyone was exactly what PaddyPaws101 said!

    But whatever happens, I will not let her on the balcony without supervision.

    One of my cats growing up would regularly jump out of my first floor bedroom window to come and greet me when she heard me outside.

    Then again this is the same mad cat that used to also jump out of any window and rum under my car and hide in the engine compartment to stop me going out in my car. Some days it was a military operation to get out without her. I still miss her and her antics to this day.
