Illness while on Jobseekers allowance..

Man flu, flu, cold, sniffles, hayfever - none of these should stop you unless you have an immune system of a newborn baby.0

I'm told my jobseekers will stop if I go sick. I have to claim esa.
does this mean I have to needlessly pester my doc. for a sick note?
Do I fill in an esa form and does this mean I have to wait for a decision?
many thankls for the help..
The answer to all three is an astounding YES. However, ESA won't cover a cold (no matter how bad), a stubbed toe, a cut finger or a headache. Your doctor will likely tell you this when you visit him\her.:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A

Remarkably, when I pointed out that signing of "sick" for a cold showed a bad attitude my post was removed.
This site really is on the wrong side sometimes, and hates anyone suggesting that people pull themselves together, even when that is the best advice that someone could receive.
It's almost as though they don't actually want people sorting their lives out, and prefer that they stay in trouble, giving the site clicks...0 -
I really hate that people think it is acceptable to go to work when ill and make everyone else sick as well.0

I don't really approve of going to the jobcenter when sick. Given the people who are on ESA who have to go to the jobcenter due to silly government policies it's reasonably likely that you're going to bump into people with severely compromised immune systems.
But, since you don't have any choice make sure you cough at the Job Coach!“The ideas of debtor and creditor as to what constitutes a good time never coincide.”

You can tell a lot about a woman by her hands..........for instance, if they are placed around your throat, she's probably slightly upset.

Why employers still want you to go in while have cold or flu is a really dumb idea i think , why make even more people ill . Some people are so stupid !0
