Does anyone know?
I won't drink any water other than Evian. I have been told they all taste the same, but not in my tastebuds they don't. I have tried all kinds of water brands but Evian is the only one I will drink and I am trying to drink a lot more water these days. Typical it's the most expensive too. (Although I drink tap water when it's been boiled to make a cuppa)
I think my last batch of 6 x large bottles cost me £3+ in Asda

Evian is naive spelt backwards
Have you tried filtered tap water? With something like this?

If you dont like the water straight from the tap ( because you maybe live in a hard water area ) I would agree totally with the above option of a filter jug kept in the fridge.
If you say you will only drink Evian - Have you tried a blind taste test ,where you dont know which brand you are drinking ?0 -
Dont know about the cheapest , but this must be the most expensive
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Evian-Water-Spray-50-Singles/dp/B000TBZ2KS/
£5.99 for 50ml of water in a spray can - what is the world coming to ?0 -

Or better still and more cost effective !0 -
My DD1 loves Evian too but she only drinks it as a treat, rather like I might have wine!:rotfl:
As a serious answer to your question the cheapest currently in SMs is Waitrose. 6 x 1.5l bottles for £3.80 is the going rate but they're on 2 for £6 in Waitrose.0 -

Evian also just happens to be an actual place on Lake Leman (Evian-les-Bains) where the water was first discovered in 1789 and was famed for its medicinal properties following research in 1807/08. It has been a spa resort town ever since.
The town and water existed long before marketing spin and big corporates got involved.
Its the only bottled water I'll drink (also happy to drink tap water), but then I'm biased, I used to live there!
If the OP ever finds themselves in the town, there are several locations where you can bottle as much free Evian water direct from the source/cachet as you can carry.Anger ruins joy, it steals the goodness of my mind. Forces me to say terrible things. Overcoming anger brings peace of mind, a mind without regret. If I overcome anger, I will be delightful and loved by everyone.0 -
Thanks for the help.
Bottled water does vary. I got some bottled water from Asda not so long ago and was going to use it for filling up the kettle (as we couldn't use the water tap) and my partner gave me some of that instead of Evian and it was very bitter, awful! I used to like Vittel when I was younger but don't like the taste of that anymore. I have tried filtered water but don't like that either.
I don't like alcohol either so maybe I just have "odd" tastebuds lol.£5 a day challenge ~ May £56.72/£155 July £125/£1550 -
I don't think anyone "likes" alcohol, people like its effects!!
(btw I hate Evian.. I only like Tescos!)0 -
I've never tried Tesco. Maybe I should give it a go.
Looking online, it seems to be something to do with the different filtration systems used.
My tap water tastes bitter whereas Evian seems to taste bland and I can drink it easily£5 a day challenge ~ May £56.72/£155 July £125/£1550
