CPM- Appeal refused

Hi
I wonder if anyone can help me.
I rent a flat on a gated property whose car park is managed by CPM. It comes with a designated underground car parking space for which I have a permit.
Back on the 14th March I purchased a new vehicle and everything from my old car was chucked in a bag during the hand over to be sorted when I got home. I parked my car in my designated space, went upstairs to my flat- sorted through the old car stuff and went back to the car to pop in my permit. I couldn't have been longer than 20 mins.
In this time I had been issued a ticket. I appealed explaining that I had just got the car (sent proofs of purchase and a copy of my permit) and why it wasn't there and that it could only have been for 20 mins.
My appeal has been rejected on the grounds that you only get 5 mins grace and that they waited 6 mins before giving me a ticket. Also to note this was 5 past 10 at night so I'm a bit surprised someone was patrolling and waiting around to give me a ticket.
I have been issued with a POPLA code.
My question is shall I bother to appeal as after all I wasn't displaying my permit or should I give it a go anyway?
Thanks for reading

Wish we could say the same. All the answers you require are contained in the 'Newbies' thread at the top of the parking board, that's what you should be reading in order to get help with this.0 -
How to win at POPLA is a simple hyperlink in post #3 of the NEWBIES thread. And we always win at POPLA - but as it's UKCPM please show us the sign, a pic of it as the wording MAY need a specifically worded appeal paragraph! One person lost at POPLA v UKCPM, hence the caution.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
