the trick???????????????????????
here is the answer. some mobile phone companies donot update your accounts promptly.
while you are been told you have 100 minutes you actually got far less than. you therefore end up making calls although you dont have any free minutes

That's not a rip-off. You make the calls.

When you get the information about remaining minutes, it also has a time reference. Try and remember how many calls you've made in the last 2 days or whatever the period, and add this on in your head.

When I used to ring up O2 they usually told me as of 48 hours ago, i had remaining.........???. I then found the call counter in my fone, and i now use that , as it's up to date! HTH

actually, no, this is a rip-off. it has nothing to do with how promptly they update the information, its about how accurately they do so. if the OP is talking about the 3 network, their information is time-referenced to virtually the minute you call - the same thing on the website (this is a great feature, by the way).

what happens is that they conveniently 'ignore' some calls. so they will have the calls up to, say, 6pm one evening, and then also the calls from 10pm onwards. but anything in between they will not deduct from the 'up-to-the-minute' allowance information. they then add these calls on at the end of the month. if adding these 'hidden' calls sends you over your allowance, they will charge you for them. fair enough, you could say you've used the minutes, but the fact is YOU WOULDN'T IF YOU KNEW IT'D TAKE YOU OVER YOUR ALLOWANCE. my sister was ripped off for £10 by three in this way; they failed to log 3 or 4 days worth of calls, and then dumped them onto a later bill.

this is a rip-off, pure and simple. if i were you tiger, if its the 3 network, ring and have a good long go at them. my sister managed to get a £5 refund, which is better than nothing. we are chasing this up with management at the moment.
