What would you do?

Rent for 6 months while we wait for our forever home to come up whilst getting priced out more and more and paying someone else's mortgage or buy a lovely house in a beautiful area to live in for the next 5-10 years as it's not a forever home?

We're in the south east and prices are rising quickly. We sold our house and are living with my parents. We've had an offer accepted on a house but have been waiting 4 months so far and the ball hasn't even started rolling! It is a forever home but we cannot sit around waiting as we need to get our toddler settled into a house. We viewed a house tonight which was lovely and ideal for now but too small to be a forever home so what would you do?

Comments

  • Why not think about what you need now rather than hypothosising about what MIGHT happen in future. If its a good house that you like is there any adjustments that you could make to it in future e.g extension etc?Obviously don't buy a house in panic or just for the sake of it if it feels right and suits your situation now - then whats stopping you?
