Wow - this worked for me in an unexpected way. Having put in £48 for 6 bottles + £1.5 item the delivery man arrived with only 3 bottles + 3 substitutions of expensive £27/bottle champers. I rejected the substitutes - Sainsbury subsequently refunded £81 but this did not impact the discounts including 25% off the expensive bottles... This means they refunded me around £0.50 more than the total order...! Cheers Sainsburys!!
  • I had mine delivered - brilliant value - I had £20 off your first online shop voucher. Someone who would know, told me that if you log in and do another shop using a different payment card, the system does not connect you to the first card and you are treated as a first-time shopper again. Haven't tried it as yet, but I sure as shot shall do.

:mad::mad:As I write, my partner is compiling his second mail of complaint and vitriol to Sainsbury. So far he's not had acknowledgment of his first mail. This offer should work and indeed when I placed my order on line, the day it started, it worked beautifully. I ordered 12 bottles plus 9 bottles of wine and 4 other items. We looked forward to this special delivery and opened the door for the delivery man in anticipation. He was very apologetic as he presented me with 3 bottles of wine and some cat litter. The rest was out of stock.....I do not have forum friendly words to express my disappointment:mad:

I've bought it a few times and yes I like it. Far better than some others . Of course it's all about personal taste. Don't expect it to be in stock though!

I got my delivery on Sat and the driver said every order on his van was the champagne,I ordered 6 bottles and some £1.50 wipes and with delivery paid £47.99
  • My 12 bottles arrived last night with a few bottles of water as well!
    Very pleased!
  • Hi, something else you might want to try is to use the Collect 3,000 BONUS points on your first online grocery shop aswell as the £15 pounds off.

I didn't use this on wine but did on my first shop. My nectar account had a button to activate the offer without a code provided. I then used the £15 pound off code on the shop with an extra £20 pound of vouchers I had. It didn't mention anywhere about me collecting the 3000 points when I checked out but a month later 3000 points turned up on my nectar account so my £60 shop only cost me £10 :)

The champagne isn't coming up as an option on the Sainsbury's website now, so I expect it's sold out. I did buy some in store at the weekend as part of a mixed case of wine at 25% off with a voucher for an extra £12-worth of Nectar points on a £60 shop, so didn't totally miss out! I haven't tried it yet, though.

Mind you, £51.72 for 12 bottles of New Zealand Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc, making £4.31 a bottle including the £3.99 delivery isn't bad - as long as they have it in stock and don't try substituting. Fingers crossed...
