It will do. Reports state that it will be £10,500 which is what atush based her calculations on.

Hello, not been on for a while, but my early retirement date is rapidly approaching, and wanted to clarify a few things......... I finish full time employment at the end of April and switch to part time hours, which are still to be decided......possibly 2 1/2 or 3 days a week.....I shall get about £470 a month pension (after taking lump sum).....is that £470 included in my total earnings for tax purposes ?............Jack

I beleive they put it up to 10,600.

but if you open a new DC Personal pension, and put the money in that, you can get your tax back?

This you can keep doing until you actually retire. And then w/d the money using what is left of your PA?
