Like i said i cancelled these time and time agan on the online banking facility, but nat west claim that every time egg try to claim the money, there is a note which says "initial payment", so it must be egg resetting the direct debit each time.

I'm not too worried as i will reclaim the charges through the normal procedure. I'm already climing for best part of 2 grand so they have deal with this lot as well when that comes through.

I have spoken to egg again today and re-iterated that the bank do not "send " direct debuit money through and that it is the compmy who its set up with who clims the money. I think they are getting the message as they have told me today they will not try to claim the money again.

Just out of interest i got the default notice twice (two loans), from egg today, so they must be getting the idea by now, that i cant pay them.
    Are you ready for this

    SECURED LOANS £55,000
    UNSECURED LOANS £25,000
    CREDIT CARDS £11,000

    TOTAL £91,000.00:eek:

DFD OCT 2018  (Man, that feels like forever)

Then of course there is the £198,000 mortgage which is going to cost me closer to £1/2 million before i pay it off. Got to make an effort to overpay when things are straighter.

Hi there... sounds like you've got a fight on your hands.

My advice is to get yourself into a branch of Natwest, get the lovely man or lady to cancel your direct debitto Egg, sign the authorisation, and ask for a copy.

I do know that some companies (Sky, for example) have in the past reinstated cancelled direct debits and taken the cash anyway.

If it happens again once you have your piece of paper, take it back into the bank & complain like a b*st*rd!!!

PS - Accounts can have 'operational stops' put on them (freezing, if you like), but I suspect NW would be reluctant to do this on your account as if stopped, nothing goes in & nothing comes out, so how oh how would they keep taking the cash for the money you owe them?

    Chin up, hun.
