eBay watchers service worth $10 - Free for limited period

Note to mods - I'm not sure if this should be in the freebies section?
I wrote in another post about how the number of eBay watchers might affect your sales (esp with all the changes that eBay made to their search results).
Well, someone is offering a free service (worth $10) where you submit your auction to be watched. I tried it myself, and there's no sign up, fees, or anything.
The offer is here (need to scroll down the bottom for the free offer).

If that's the blog author I'm thinking of, he used to give out some decent advice on selling on The 'Bay.
I signed up for it, and will let you know how I got on.
OP, did it help with your listings? Did you see any increase in traffic? I'm assuming you did as I read your other post on mse.
Will report back on the outcome...0 -
Technically, they are 'hits' that don't lead to a sale. So might be alright for an auction, but might bump you down the listings on 'buy-it-nows'Warning: any unnecessary disclaimers appearing under my posts do not bear any connection with reality, either intended, accidental or otherwise. I'll do it for $50

It's not supposed to do that any more, not sure how true it is but I was told that it changed earlier this year.ballisticbrian wrote: »Technically, they are 'hits' that don't lead to a sale. So might be alright for an auction, but might bump you down the listings on 'buy-it-nows'.0 -

Most of the BIN auctions did quite well once watchers were added. I think it does affect your listings position. For example, we had a product sitting at the bottom of page one for a long time. But once about 50-60 watchers were added, we shot up to the top ten. This happened within 48-hours, so it isn't instant.0 -

I tried that seller on Fiverr a few days ago. He added watchers to my BIN listing, and within one day my listing shot up the ebays results!
I think it depends upon which cat. you're in, and other variables (your feedback score, whether you do returns, etc). But to be honest, I think the Fiverr guy should charge a premium for this service, as it's possibly a game changer!
Will report back on my other listings.0 -

I agree, the Fiverr seller should go solo and charge a decent amount for this. I mean boosting your ebay listing in the search is priceless.
Anyway, I took a punt with this. I ordered the 200 watcher package and waited. Was done within 24-hours, and I only saw movement in about 24-48 hours - moved up from 3rd page to top of the 2nd!0
