I was under the impression that bus lane times had to be stated even if its 24hrs.
The opposite. A bus lane is a bus lane 247 unless there is stated times.

Tfl monitor hatched junctions using cctv so bus lanes are fair game.

    I know that road.

On the plus side, you actually travelled a fairly short distance before rejoining a legal road again, so there is less likelihood you were seen by CCTV.

On the minus side, if you were caught, this is more than simply a bus lane contravention. Church St is (and always has been) a one way street that you travelled down the wrong way. About ten years ago, a contraflow bus and cycle lane was installed and the junction widened, but general motorised traffic is still obliged to travel one way. The sign at the T-junction at the end of Union St is a "no right turn" sign, so this is the contravention in question rather than a simple bus lane ticket. A no right turn sign applies 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, wherever you see it.

The "14 day rule" only applies to speeding offences, so councils can issue PCNs after this time, but generally don't hang around as they want their money.

    Fingers crossed!
