My poor cat :(

My poor cat had to be put to sleep last night. He was only 4. He was diagnosed with feline leukaemia. He was a beautiful polydactyl cat that we saved from being drowned on a farm when he was a baby. His brother is looking a bit lost now without him.
RIP Mills :(

So sorry to hear you had to make possibly the hardest decision as a pet owner, try to take comfort in the fact he had four wonderful years with you, and four more than he would have had if Lady Luck had not been looking after him when he was saved. It's hard to contemplate now but better he had a short and happy time with you, than a long life of sickness and pain. He will always have a special place in your heart x

How awful, I love my two boys so can't imagine how awful it was.

I've been a blubbering mess all day because my parents dog is poorly and is likely to be put to sleep soon. It's just an all round horrible time for those involved but deep down you know it's the right thing to do for your pet. :(

Can I ask when he was last vaccinated?

Catherine O'Driscoll says she has noticed major health problems tend to get diagnosed within 3 months of the last vaccination and she thinks there is a link. If this is relevant to your cat then I'm sure she'd love to hear about it.
She specializes in dogs but I'm sure any animal is important to her.

Might be worth looking up Canine Health Concern.

I'm not saying there is a connection or anything at all but I found it interesting to ponder on.

Sorry to hear about him though. It's always hard losing a pet :(

Sorry to read about Mills, I know the loss of a fur baby is a very difficult time.
  • I'm so sorry ithinkyourcrazy - we lost our fur baby a month ago and I still have moments where I think of him and cry.

They mean so much to us and it is a massive hole when they go away but be strong for your other little kitty and look after yourself - he needs you now more than ever.

Good luck and big big hugs to you xxxxxxx
