Appeal Fund

I'm stealing Nodding Donkeys idea from this thread: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4974968
Would it be possible to set up some sort of fund to cover the cost of an appeal? The current defendants from the Cambridge case may not want to appeal, but the day will come when someone does want to appeal, and it would be nice if there was a fighting fund available to help support them. It may make the decision to appeal a bit easier for them.

Think its a bit early for this as we don't know if the current case is going forward or not. Wonder if parking eye will contribute ? LolWhen posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

Perhaps someone on here who is more 'in the know' as it were on the (likely or not ) appeal process for 'Cambridge', respond as to how we can go about setting up a 'fund' . I would like to try and make sure that the appeal doesnt falter due to lack of funds and the sooner we get a collective response on who is prepared to contribute the better I would say yes ?

The decision hasn't been made on whether the defendants wants to continue, so until we know what they want to do there is little point in getting an appeal fund going. There is a lot more happening than what can be said on here, so you won't get an answer right now. When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. You can count me in too.0

If one of the defendants wants to appeal I'll happily chip in.0

I would pay £10 into it and i`m sure many others would too.0

People will be made aware in due course whether an appeal fund is needed, it may not be.
People will also be advised in due course if and when any appeal is logged. The decision lies with defendants and they will make their mind up in due course
*IF* an appeal fund is needed then i may as well be blunt with people in saying that whilst any amount would be gratefully received, it will take a lot more then donations people are used to for transcripts.
A Barrister *might* cost circa £5K. Now this is very achievable given the number of users accross the various forums,
Now this is all pie in the sky at the moment until everything is ironed out.Proud to be a member of the Anti Enforcement Hobbyist Gang.:D:T0 -
It will be money well spent
count me in. :money:
PPCs say its carpark management, BPA say its raising standards..... we all know its just about raking in the revenue. :eek:0 -
As you know it's not just the cost of our side, maybe £5k for a qualified person with this, but it's the costs of the other side should it lose. Their costs could be 5 or 10 times that. So this may not be one to go to the appeal court. When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
