iPad charging question.

Hello dears :D

As a 50th birthday present, I recently treated myself to an ipad. Charging the battery at home is obviously not a problem with mains power, my problem is charging "at work". For my sins, I'm a long-distance lorry driver and I'm away from home all week, sometimes longer. My lorry has three power sockets in it, one being the cigarette lighter socket, but they're all 24 volt. If I buy one of those USB wotsits from such as fleabay that my charging lead plugs into, is it okay to charge from 24 volt or do I need a dedicated 12 volt supply?

Thanks in advance.

Martyn.
