npower intelligent fix any good?

Has anybody seen whether the intelligent fix by npower is a good deal?

Was excited by the idea of getting the nest fully installed for £99.

However, when using the comparision sites, it looks like it will cost me an extra £199 per year (based on current usage). Which negates any up front subsidy provided by Npower.

So was thinking does their Tariff actually help anyone out? Or are they sneakily recovering back their costs through the higher charge.

Other suppliers do the same - the device is provided only tied to a tariff where the cost is covered by higher prices. (British Gas have a similar scheme.)

Be careful with this - I saw another thread a while ago when someone went for this tariff, had the Nest fitted and then had to wait a week or more to get removed as it turned out to be unsuitable for their system. They then had trouble getting out of the tariff.
