Urgent advice needed after Cambridge case.

Hi everyone, i am shocked at the outcome of the Cambridge test case. This decision as left many people, including myself wondering if there is any light at the end of the tunnel. I am wondering what i can do next. I have an hearing mid June (PE) I have my amended defence ready to send off ( used Pranksters updated free car park defence) I have spoken to my local county court today as i e mailed them on 29/04/2014 asking for my case to be decided by POPLA. I was told that there is a huge backlog and that my email has not been dealt with as yet, and it is best if i send in a letter with URGENT as the heading so that it will be prioritized. unbelievable. My dilemma now is, do i send my defence off or does it need to be changed/altered? What are my options? Do i still try to get my case transferred to POPLA? Also is it worth trying to get my case stayed until after any appeal regarding the Cambridge case? As always any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks, RR.

Remember that the Cambridge decision was a small claims track decision only, not binding, and may be appealed. Also that PE claimed to be 'the principal' because in that car park they admitted they paid a 'fishing' licence (effectively) to be allowed to do what they liked, which gave them standing. Goodness only know if they paid business rates there or when this £1000 a week they were paying, even started.

In other PE car parks to our knowledge - and we've seen contracts - there is no question of them being anything other than a mere agent. A different business model and not comparable, not the same standing, not the same at all.

I would still 'push for POPLA'.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

You should keep this to your original thread - Posting panic divorced from any fact does not help anyone, least of all yourself!
