Royal Mail

Hi,

Anyone have any ideas on how to go about claiming for a damaged item sent in the post via royal Mail signed for method? Item new is worth £500+ but second hand is worth £250+ and the recipient said item is damaged.

Thanks

Palvi

Signed for provides compensation for a limited amount of goods, and £40 approx will be the limit IF they agree it was mishandled (they will need the packaging to inspect).

If it was as valuable as you say, you should have used Special Delivery.

You sent an item via a postage method with a maximum insurance level of £50.
