in Credit cards
Hi
I am having trouble paying my Cap One credit card debt which is just under 3K.
I won't go into great detail but I am a self employed single Dad and was unable to work for a period because I had to look after my son after major surgery. During this period I had no option but to max my credit card. The interest payments are now killing me.
I have applied for a couple of balance transfers with no joy and I am unsure what to do next.
I am not looking for sympathy as I know this debt is entirely of my own doing.
Any advice as to which direction to go in would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks

Either go to the Debt Free Wannabe section and post their standard incoming/outgoing statements and others will help you find areas to cut back so you can make more repayments.
Alternatively contact a debt charity for advice.
Until you get into the position of defaulting they arent going to be willing to do much/ any negotiation on interest or repayment0
