I think I killed my 6.5l slow cooker!
Made a chinese belly of pork on friday & came home to a dried on crispy mess. I have soaked, scrubbed, scraped & one side of the sc is still a huge lump of molten larva.
So if anyone sees any online or supermarket deals on reasonably priced 5-6l slow cooker please post here.

I got mine in Argos, the 'Cookworks' one. It is good value, works well and I've had mine for 2 years now.0 -
Have you tried filling the SC with water & then putting it on again on a very low heat, overnight maybe? Might loosen it up enough to clean it! :j:D:beer::eek::A:p:rotfl::cool::):(:T0

Actually I hadn't thought of that. Half a lemon in it as well might just work. Thanks, am off to give it a go.I don't respond to stupid so that's why I am ignoring you.

I put warm water plus cheap biological soap powder in a casserole dish which had got rather burnt on deposits on the bottom ... it took a couple days and changes of powder, but it all came off without further scrubbing. Couldn't believe it!!0
