Re-plaster ceilings + skiming imperfections

We have been given a quote to re-plaster all the ceilings, skim all the imperfections on walls and plaster the hallways in our mid-victorian terrace in London. Can anyone see if the quote looks kosha?

Quote to re-plaster:

-Lounge ceiling (11x10) - £180
-Diner ceiling (11x10) - £180
-Main bedroom ceiling (14x9) - £180
-Small bedroom ceiling(10x9) - £160
-Hallway ceilings and walls - £620

Total: £1300

One thing that struck me - he said he was busy for the next few months and would get his apprentice to do the work. I am a little bemused by this as I kind of expect the plasterer I was recommended to do the work. Is this normal procedure?

    I've been Money Tipped!
Day rate for a plasterer in my home town is £150.
At that price, it'd be about 8 days work here. Did he mention how long he thought it'd take to complete? And are the hallways 2 storeys high at some points, requiring extra long ladders?

Price sounds fair to me, especially in London.

Mmmm. Replaster old ceilings in a Victorian house. The ceilings will be lathe and plaster and I'm guessing at that price he's either reskimming or reboarding. You need to find out which.

I've just had all mine pulled down and new ceilings throughout the house. Terrible mess but a proper job.

I can ask how long it would take - there are a few parts which are higher by the stairs but not two stories as you'd come off the stairs the other way.

The work is for plastering over the original ceiling. No word of taking any ceiling down or reboarding. The ceilings are in fairly good nick, just a few cracks here and there and bobbles we want rid of...

    Thanks!
