I'm looking for a gardening expert to identify this plant.
I've only lived here a few months and noticed this on friday evening, it was approx 30cms tall

I checked it again to night and its almost double the height.
I'm wanting to know should I rip it up before it gets too big, or is this going to turn in to something beautiful.
Thanks for having a look!

That's one heck of a slope you have there:rotfl:I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

Yes ,I would say Bamboo from the rate of growth and the fact that some varieties have 'blades' sticking out from the side of the shoot !0

Thanks for your help, Bamboo would make sense as they are a few Bamboo plants in the garden. Its about 5metres from the nearest Bamboo, that stuff must have massive roots. Thank you.0

Yep, bamboo motors. Hope its not too near the house as it could affect the foundations. Chap opposite got us to get him a load of different bamboos for his garden, despite warning him. Last year he had the contractors in with a mini digger to remove the forest, would have kept a panda going for a few weeks.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0
