Hi and welcome, I think you are just going to have to take time to sit and watch in the room to try and establish where they are coming in. My bees are incredibly active at 8am and various times during the day. Once you have found it you can block it up as long as their other entrance is still open. Bees will go to the light source and if they are young and can't fly well they don't always go the correct way out, this is especially the case where they nest in chimneys.

We have loads of bees buzzing about in two different places on the garage roof and on the house roof.

We cannot see them going in and out just flying madly around and they are not there at dusk.

The same thing happened last year and after a week or so they were not there any more.

Anyone know what they are doing?

i have the same, had a nest last year, and now this year they are back but more just buzzing around and not going in...yet

I don't know what it was all about now......
We saw lots of bees going in and out of a hole up at the top of the end wall of the house and had some bees in the bedroom for two days. Then they seem to have disappeared
Not seen any for two days now.
