PILON/working notice! holiday Pay?

Are you sure? When I was made redundant, I took 3 months garden leave. It was deemed that I had taken my holidays during the garden leave period, so I also lost all the unused holidays from the rest of the year...
With very few restrictions an employer can tell you when you must take your holiday.
So, if you are given three months notice it is perfectly possible for them to insist you use any untaken holiday during that time. With "gardening leave" you are still employed and can theoretically be called back into work at any time. Obviously you can't be called back in during any time they have specified as holiday so they can't have it both ways in that respect.
Probably too late now but if no holiday dates were actually specified during that time you might be able to argue that it was all garden leave, you were available to work so they owe you for the untaken holiday. Without an appropriate paper trail they might struggle!0
