Part exchange car for a bike?

Is this possible?
I have a car on finance (nearly new!) but unfortunately struggling to pay the monthly repayments, so I am thinking of getting a bike, as can use it for the summer, and obviously the monthly payments would be lower.
Does anyone know if this is possible, do any companies/dealers part exchange the car for a bike? My only problem is the car is worth more than the bike I am looking to get...

Or what other option do I have?
Sell privately and settle the car myself and start again with the bike?

Selling your car privately will yield the best deal, but this may be tricky if its quite a new / valuable car.

I would ring as many franchised dealers who specialise in your car brand and ask to speak to the "trade buyer". See what they say.

Also, try the "we buy any car" type sites and see what that pulls up.

Also, see if there are any independent specialists in your area that deal in nearly new cars - get a value from them.

But be aware you may owe more than the car is worth.

I would have thought buying a motorbike solves the problem only short term as once you hit winter you have a different problem to solve.

Personally - rather than digging yourself out of one finance deal with another, i'd buy a cheap car for cash. You would be surprised what you can buy for under £1000 cash these days.

Is the car worth more than you owe on finance?

Some bikes can cost more than a car. Running costs can be shocking for some bikes also.
