Sock disappeared in washer dryer

I have a Zanussi Elextrolux washer dryer.
The other day I put the washing in it, including a pair of fluffy white socks with multi-coloured spots.
At the end of the wash (I did not use the drying cycle) I took out the clothes, and one of the socks had disappeared.
Where has it gone, and can I get it back without calling out an engineer? I have tried looking through the online user manuals, but can't find anything that helps.

Are you certain its not inside some other washing.
I have stopped washing bedding with any other items as once a sock got into the quilt cover and was not found for a fortnight.
Sometimes I take stuff out to hang outside to dry and a sock will fall out of a T-shirt. Onto the paving :cool:63 mortgage payments to go.

I'm pretty sure the sock has disappeared inside the machine somewhere. I took all the washing out and hung it on the line and there was only one sock.0 -
I am sorry to laugh when you have a problem, but I am convinced that socks are alive and split up just to annoy us.
I have not been to the launderette for a long time now, but the last time I brought my washing home I found an alien sock with it (I never took my own socks there). It must have been clinging to the roof of the machine.
I too think that it will be hiding inside something else.Who having known the diamond will concern himself with glass?

We have found old socks when washing machine has been serviced. They were found in the pump mechanism. Chap told us he sees em all the time.0

The phantom sock menace strikes again!! I do sympathise as I'm sure my washing machine does the same otherwise I wouldn't have a pile of odd socks sitting here. I don't want to throw them away just in case one turns up which can be matched with one of the odd ones.0

Forget it unless the washer develops a problem, slow draining etc.
I do believe in intense money saving but stripping a washer down to find just 1 sock is a bridge too far.:D:DI like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

I was wondering whether the sock might damage the pump, hence my question.0 -
I was wondering whether the sock might damage the pump, hence my question.
And the answer is, yes, it might, if it's in there, but it may not be.
It also may have gone through the pump.
But, the washer completed it's drain cycle before you discovered the loss, ie, it would have run for a good few mins with the sock in the pump, if it did end up there. If it drained properly and it works next time you are probably worried about nothing, if you are handy enough to strip a washer as you imply, then fitting a £25 pump shouldn't phase you if things go !!!!! side up.
Are you really sure you put 2 socks in, :A:A:A:A:D:D??I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
