Skype problem

Downloaded Skype yesterday, but when I tried to register I kept getting a message saying that Javascript was required.

When I checked my settings on Google Chrome it definitely says that all sites are allowed to run Javascript, so can't understand why there is a problem.

Any ideas?

Thanks.
Stopped smoking 27/12/2007, but could start again at any time

You may need to lower the security level of Java in control panel.

Think you will need to download Java script or update it on your laptop.

Java and Javascript are two completely different things despite having both "Java" in their name. And you cannot download Javascript as such, it's built-in into your browser.

    Control panel/Java/Security, lower to medium.

This thread just entered a loop. Read my post just before yours. The OP is talking about Javascript.
