My aunt might be eligible for dla, if she gets the middle rate of care,
then what are the underground tube ticket discounts/ concession people who might be eligible to Dla get?

Freedom pass isn't based on DLA and is only for those who live in London. She's entitled to a disabled persons railcard. This gives her and someone travelling with her 1/3 off tickets. It can be added to an Oyster card.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked

to apply for one, do they apply at their local council?
or at the post office ? (as some places say post office, and some say post office)
and how long does the application process take ??0 -
you apply through your local council.
receiving high rate mobility used to be on of the main qualifiers, but i havent lived in london for quite a while , so things may have changed.
if a person isnt allowed to drive ( not just doesnt drive or doesnt want to drive) then a freedom pass can be issued.
it enables the holder for free travel on the underground, buses and overground trains within the london area, and can be ised on buses throughout england and wales

In a rush and unable to track down the links, but I don't think Wales buses are covered by a pass issued and funded in England. Vice versa applies - I can't use my Wales Disabled Person's bus pass in England.I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -
That is correct. With a Wales issued pass you can travel into England from Wales on it but not within England. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
