Vita cleanse scam

Hey guys just a quick one, fallen for the vita cleans scam. Its on my debit card. I think all they have is the card number is this correct?

I have talked to the bank who have cancelled the card for now and stopped any future payments from coming out. The stage we are at now is the next time they try to take anything they are going to change the company name and try again, I know this is al over the internet and there was a thread on here about it but I can no longer find it. So far they only have the 2 payments of 6.95 and 2.99.

Is cancelling the card enough to stop them taking the payments of £93, or am i gonna need to dispute these with the bank? The bank are aware of whats going on.

  • I'm ashamed to say i've recently Fallen foul of this scam as well, the first I knew I'd signed up for a subscription was when another bottle popped through my door and the slip with it just said vitacleanse subscription, no actual invoice, no cost , no date that any payment would be charged, just x1 qty vita cleanse subscription.

    this lead me to check them out a bit because the invoice just had to little information on it, only for me to find out I was about to be charged £95 for a bottle of pills that do nothing.

    My question however is about this, after digging through there T&C's They apear to say that I've no way of getting a refund even if I return there product in tact to them because all sales are final.

    Is this right? I was under the impression that companies could restrict to exchanges or credit notes in some cases instead of cash refunds, but can they really flat out refuse to return part or all of your payment if you want to refuse there product in a reasonable time scale (I got this new bottle 2 days ago)

    Any advice or suggestions are greatly appreciated , as £95 is a lot of money to lose when you're not expecting it.

    Below is the section of there T&C's to which i'm refering to:

    "If for any reason during the Trial period (defined in the offer) of your Trial Promotion, you are dissatisfied with your Product, you will need to call our Customer Support and request either an extension of your trial period, or a cancellation of the service. If you wish to keep the 30-Day supply you received, you may choose to pay for that month only and cancel your autoship program. If you are not interested in continuing to use the product for the rest of the month, you will need to request a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and return your product (opened or unopened) within 30 days of the initial trial date to prevent being charged for the full 30-Day supply you received to try. Shipping and processing fees are non-refundable. All sales after the initial 30 Day period expires are final. Autoship cancellations may be processed at any time and require contact with a Customer Service Representative to verify the account holder request. Cancellation of an Autoship request will take effect immediately and any/all future shipments will cease. It will be required to re-order if you would like to re- enroll at a later time. "
