Question about car insurance quotes

I am disabled and I drive a very heavility adapted WAV, my insurance is due and I had a look at the comparison sites as usual where they ask if I have the use of other cars and while we have three cars in the household I cant drive them as they are not adapted so what should my answer be and will changing the answer make a diffrence to the quotes?

In case anyone is intrested I get the quotes and buy my insurance like everyone else and then I ring them so they can amend my policy to include my adaptions, I was quite concerned when I first started driving adapted cars but after advice form all the big companies I have not had a problem in over ten years of following the same formula.

I would answer no, as you can't drive them. Whether it makes a difference to the quote, I don't know.

You never had a situation where you ring them and they up the premium or charge admin fees due to the modification declarations?

I actually asked an underwriter that question and he explained that vehicles that are adapted are less attractive to thieves so they are actually a better risk. that was a long time ago so things might have changed but it makes sense.

You answer the question asked. If they ask how many cars you have in the household you give the total number of cars. If they ask how many cars do you have access to then you presumably answer 1 assuming you dont regularly use anyone elses adapted vehicle.
