Parking eye and britannia parking

Parking eye and britannia parking pcns - please help asap!!
Hi and help!! I've not had a Private Parking Ticket for years and I recently got the two just recently. The Britannia one I got on 28th April. I disregared it as I wasn't aware of rule changes in the last couple of years!! Having just got the Parking Eye one I thought I'd check to see if I could just ignore them. Seems this is not the case anymore. I was minutes overdue on my parking ticket with Britannia - he saw me coming and frantically printed it out.:mad: Not sure if he managed to get his photo of the ticket when he stuck it on my windscrren as I was quick to rip it off. The Parking Eye one - which I received throug the post - really caught me by surprise as this was a car park where it was free after 2pm. However it seems that you can still park for free but have to get a ticket from a machine inside the building! Had absolutely no idea and saw no sign. This must be really new as I only parked there recently. I need to go and verify this. At the moment I will have to pay £70 to Britannia as I am over the two weeks, however the Parking Eye one stands at £60 as I have just received the letter? I don't know whether to appeal - if its too late (for Britannia) or to pay. If I appeal on what grounds?:(:( I have briefly read the thread by "Coupon-mad" but I need to read it again - info overload!! I am the registered keeper. Any other info you need from me please ask. I don't know how to upload pictures or if I am able to as i don't have any previous posts. I can email them to you if necessary. Kind regards,
The Whizzard

Appeal the parking eye one straight away using the template letter in coupons thread, just add your details to it.

On the other one, wait for the Notice to Keeper to come and then appeal in exactly the same way. Again add your details. If it's a postal ticket appeal now

When you get your rejections come back here for help with going to popla where we win 100% of the time . All info is in that thread. When you appeal send electronically and via the post with a free proof of postage from the post office.
When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

    First: Don't panic
Have you received NTK (notice to keeper) for the Britannia PCN through the post yet? (I'm guessing not) If not it should arrive on your doorstep shortly.
Take your time and read the newbie thread a couple of times. Focus at this stage on the first section about the general appeal to the parking company.
Using the template in the thread send the appeal to parking eye.
You appeal on all the points in the template.
When you receive the NTK for Brittania you do the same.

The likelihood is that they will both get rejected.

You then appeal to POPLA, using the next template. But at that point come back here for more help.

The forum has 100% Success rate for forum assisted POPLA appeals so you will pt have to pay either.

Don't be daft - half the time Britannia don't even follow up their windscreen PCNs, not in Waitrose car parks for starters. You owe nothing for either of the fake PCNs.
If I appeal on what grounds?
Well you were on the NEWBIES thread and must have seen the simple copy & paste first appeal template. That's what you send when you get the first letter - which you have got from PE but have not yet got from Britannia. Come on this is easy - and the NEWBIES thread is hardly 'overload' unless you started reading all the irrelevant parts for your situation, like debt collectors & small claims etc. You only need to copy & paste & send the template appeal and then read the examples in 'How to win at POPLA'.

All these newbies and more have won without even starting a thread until they had:

Your fake PCNs will be no different - start with the PE one, using the template appeal copied & pasted in to the PE online appeals page.

Okay guys, many thanks. I am on it!! Yeah, you were right - info overload as I was reading irrelevant stuff. Also was nearing the end of a gruelling nightshift. I have a clearer head now - still working tonight though! I have also deleted post on NEWBIES thread, thanks.:);) I will inform you of my progress.

    Ok. Here is the latest:
    PARKING EYE:
Received a reminder - no letter of rejection. The date of the letter is 2 days from the day I posted so maybe they generated this letter before they received mine? Should I send another letter?

    Brittania Parking:
    Nothing yet.

Sounds like it was sent before they got your appeal. Did you get a free proof of postage? You could always email the appeal to them as a belt and braces approach just to make sure.
I assume you used the template on the Newbies thread.

As for Brittania sit tight. Just keep the original info in case it should turn up.

Sit tight for both - the PE reminder crossed in the post and is a standard thing they send. Britannia often never follow up a PCN at all.

  • Thanks guys. Yes I did get a free proof of postage. I will sit tight as Coupon-Mad rightly suggested that they could've got crossed in the post.

I take it I just I just take the POPLA route now. I've checked the validity of the Parking Notice via Parking Cowboys website. I will read through the templates and choose the most suitable one and post a draft copy asap for any necessary amendments.
    Thanks all.:)
