The cost effective way is DIY . . .

Do you really want to pay someone to put a stamp on an envelope and drop it in the post box?

If you use a claim co, you still have to fill in the same (or similar) complaint form, so you still do all the work, they just take a large percentage of any re-dress you may receive!

Beware of any offers of "help" you may now receive via a private message.

Yourself is cheapest and most cost effective.

This is MSE. Why on earth would anyone want to pay to use a free-of-charge complaints process where the CMC use the same from or their version of the FOS form which is available free?

I have to agree with the others. This is money saving expert not blow £500 on something you can do yourself.

Write the bank a letter quoting the account number stating the reasons why you believe the PPI was mis-sold to you. Post the letter. Or phone them up and tell them, they can take complaints verbally. A lot of banks have complaints logging facilities on their website.

Take at look the MSE owners site; they have a comparison service offering the best deals from over 70 PPI products :)
