60 is the age without reductions for deferred members which I am.
Just to throw a spanner in the works, you might want to find out whether the scheme offers late retirement. Some schemes will enhance benefits paid out late, just as they will reduce benefits paid early. If you don't need it for 5 years then it could be worthwhile.I am a Technical Analyst at a third-party pension administration company. Over the 5 years between age 60 and 65 I'll have potential for collecting £19,000. The enhancement will have to be good for me to put 19 grand on hold and risk not living long enough to get it back.0
