Council Tax, Moving Out but still threathend

I am moving out in a few days. i infomred the council and filled out that form.
but i still the bill to pay for after i move out and the threat of fine etc...how how i confirm im moving out?

O.k which part of the council did you inform? was it the council tax people? Where are you moving to? Is it within the borough or to a different authority? If it's within the borough then they will probably just move you on their system and readjust the council tax. If it's in a different borough then you should get a refund. I suspect if you haven't moved out yet and you have only recently told them that the haven't actually processed things yet and that you are still in the system as being late/owing arrears.
