Situated above The Obar on Leicester's Braunstone Gate, The Smokehouse started life as a four week pop up last November. Now it's back for good, bringing a unique style of Southern-American inspired smoked food to Leicester in a quirky, relaxed setting.
Using an authentic grill imported from the States, Chef Liam Watson's menu includes soul food favourites low and slow smoked ribs, 14 hour pulled pork and 12 hour smoked beef brisket with classic sides like mac n cheese, BBQ corn and house pickles. When it comes to puddings, the sticky toffee and maple pudding served with salted caramel bourbon sauce is a must. A selection of craft beers is also being served up to complement the dishes.
Also look out for The Smokehouse at the Summer Food & Drink Festival at Leicester Market on 25 May.
If you want to try all this for yourself, we're giving away a meal for two!
This prize entitles the winner and a guest to a free evening meal at The Smokehouse consisting of up to 2 starters, 2 big smokes, 2 sides and 2 desserts. Drinks are not included. Prize must be booked by 31 July 2014 and is valid Tues – Friday nights.
