ipad, icloud and syncing files without Itunes

I have an ipad and I have a couple of frustrating issues which I am looking for workarounds or solutions. I don't like itunes and I have been using a program called control manager to sync my films and music from my PC. I would like to be able to download things like music and films to my ipad without having to sync to a PC. I would also like to be able to delete files from my ipad whenever I like without having to sync to my laptop as I am on the road quite a lot and want to watch movies and stuff when I like as they can't fit on my ipad. Is there a solution for all of this? If I have iCloud am I going to be limited to the whole Apple thing? I don't really want to go down the jailbreak road but it may be my own solution.

Diskaid and AVPlayer HD are good.
I use Diskaid to copy videos to AVPlayer, which is fab.
Avplayer is a paid app though, not sure how much now.Oooookay. A signature you say?............
Don't forget to thank me if you think it's useful:T0 -
But there is no issue on jailbreaking, I was a bit worried 2 years go when I first jailbroke my iPad, but it gives so much freedom.
Just to mention 1 thing out of 100: downloading documents etc from Safari, no need to switch on PC for a simple task.
Since then I jailbreak everything I can:rotfl:
Currently my iPad Air is jailbroken, but unfortunately can't jailbreak my iPhone 5s yet:(
It is not as hard as some people/websites make it out to be, if you mess up you can usually just reset and restart the process.Oooookay. A signature you say?............
