in Credit cards
I am considering applying for a Halifax Clarity card for my forthcoming holiday to Cyprus. My question is if I get this card would it have an adverse effect on my credit rating if I was to apply for a 0% or B/T card in the next few months?

I don't see why simply possessing the card itself would have any kind of adverse effect on anything. Unless you mess up and don't pay it back on time of course.0

It could look bad if OP cancels the card a month after getting it.Credit 'Score' - Don't buy the credit 'score' that Experian, Equifax and Noddle want to sell you. It's an arbitrary number that means nothing when it comes to applying for credit.
ALWAYS HAVE A DIRECT DEBIT SET UP FOR THE MINIMUM PAYMENT ON YOUR CREDIT CARDS, REGARDLESS OF WHETHER YOU PLAN TO LOGIN AND PAY EACH MONTH.0 -

The search and new account (if approved) will show on your file and have a minor adverse impact for a little while, but if there's nothing else bad you shouldn't have any issue getting the BT card in a few months time.0
