I'm thinking of buying my next car via the Internet and found a great deal for what I'm looking at UK New Cars. However, before I go any further, does anyone know this company or had any dealings with them?
Any feedback would be much appreciated.
Thanks,

hi there
i am in the same boat and looking for a new car , websites include drivethedeal, dealdrivers, autobytel, autoebid etc. prices do looky competitive but i dont really know how reliable they really are. reviews on the internet for drivethedeal and dealdrivers seem reasonable. no really good reviews on autoebis although their website claim they have got various awards.
hope this helps0 -
Why don't you give us a call then? There's no negative comments on the 'net about us at all and we intend to keep it that way, so I think our feedback is hopefully a bit more than 'reasonable'!! Have a look at May and June feedback from customers on our website..
We are recommended by MSE, and are one of only a handful of brokers in the UK that enable you to transact just as normal direct with the main UK franchised dealer, you just use us as a quote source. You are first and only registered owner each time, all as normal.
So... we're reliable running quotes, reliable passing you through to a main brand dealer when you want to order, and our website carries the best ordering advice and product information of any. What else would you like?! (Oh...and you get high street shopping and restaurant vouchers too, even if you just recommend us to a new buyer!)
People who haven't used a broker to buy a car (but might have done to arrange other goods or services) seem wary of online car pricing agents...mainly because they don't understand how they work. Use us just like insurance or mortgage brokers...a central point through which you can access car quotes being discounted by normal dealers but at a higher discount than your local one maybe.
We quoted to a gentleman last Thurs' on a BMW, he was unsure and wanted to know how far away the dealer would be (even though the car was being delivered to him!), it turned out we'd be passing his order to one of his local ones he'd already been into, so he was delighted. His attempts to negotiate with a showroom salesman got him 8% discount, our pricing agreement with the management at the same site had already arranged over 13%...purely due to the large volume of orders we pump through them.
Our supplying dealers are all main franchised dealers, part of large UK motor groups..the same dealers you walk into to look at the cars.
Simple, and risk free. If you always ensure your broker allows you to transact as normal with the dealer, you've got nothing to lose.“Official Company Representative

Thanks for that.
I've looked at loads of "online car dealers" and Dealdrivers do seem pretty competitive. I've requested a quote so we'll see what happens.
Happy hunting!0 -
I bought a car with Drivethedeal a couple of months ago, no complaints, everything went as advertised.student100 hasn't been a student since 2007...0

Dealdriver, just out of interest, where is your Audi collection point/dealer located or can it be any one in the country depending on where you get the best price? Also, once you've passed us on to a dealer do we deal direct with them from then on? And when it's service time, presumably can we just take it back to any Audi dealer?
Thanks.0 -
The best thing would be show your local dealer internet price and asked them to match it. I did that and they matched price. So, I bought from local dealer then paying same low price as of internet.Happiness is buying an item and then not checking its price after a month to discover it was reduced further.0

Our Audi dealers are UK wide, what region are you in? The Audi dealer who processes the order paperwork bears no influence on your warranty/servicing. Block exemption rules changed years ago now to break the servicing/purchasing link and allow the public to order the car from the cheapest brand dealer (who could be anywhere) and just retain your servicing and warranty locally where you are living & working at the time work needs doing.
Some folk still think they need to buy the vehicle at the dealer closest to them each time but will happily hunt nationwide for the best price on a flash stereo system or other mechanical/electrical item.
That's why car brokers exist, to help you access deals from main brand dealer across the UK to arrange the best price on the purchase for you, but you do have to use them and order through them - for them to continue to be able to exist!
Movilogo... you're buying from a normal dealer through our process too, and speaking to them direct from day one, so what are you saving by getting someone else to match the price?
Give the business to the people who've helped you and responded to your questions and requests for assistance. Take a minute to understand yourself how broker pricing works.
The dealers giving brokers high discounts do so because of high volume orders they get in return, your local dealer won't be getting that volume so won't be rushing to thank you for giving him your business at a price he'll make no return on from other orders and has felt pressured into it by a price from a broker who's getting volume discounts that he cannot give - but doesn't want the bad press resulting from a 'disappointed local customer'.
If you want to buy locally and only be loyal to a particular dealer, buy from him, but you won't be thanked for forcing him to swallow a loss on the deal for you which another dealer can afford to do based on their volume broker sales. A high volume dealer is earning bonuses, a low volume dealer is not, so be fair locally if you want decent treatment on aftersales requirements too.
Buying elsewhere, you'd still be using your local guys for servicing. Its unlikely you'll get any discounts on servicing is you bought the car through them to start with..you'll pay the same servicing rates as every other car in the area going there for servicing (most of whom will have been ordered at other dealers anyway if they are company cars!).
Just be fair to the people you're asking to do the work for you, is all we're saying.“Official Company Representative

Dealdriver, I'm in West Yorkshire.
I just received my quote back from you (Dealdrivers), but the actual quote is a lot higher than the price displayed on your site (by £1270!). I take it the web prices are only a guide? How often are the updated? I must admit to being a tad disappointed, as I thought the price you see was the price you pay.
Thank you for your comments and advice though on this previously "scary" world of buying cars over the internet! I'm definitely going to down this route if I can find the right deal ;-)0 -
Can highly recomend drive the deal. Bought an Audi A3 through them and it was all very easy - they just processed my order and passed it on to an Audi dealer who contacted me to discuss the order, take deposit etc. Car was delivered to my door on a lorry, and even had 2/3 tank fuel in it. Also the price on the website was the one charged by the dealer - down to the last penny0

I have just looked at your enquiry and quote, you've got the Avant (estate) price instead of the 4dr...not a problem at all...the saloon price is as per the website exactly to the penny, plus £156 inc vat for the extra factory item you requested. We will mail you back privately with the correction!
The person who ran your quote was also running a batch of 16 Avant quotes for a company yesterday afternoon and they have used the Avant price table in error whilst getting yours back to you as a one-off retail customer quote. If you look further down the A4 pricing on our page you'll see your price corresponds with the Avant instead of the saloon, without the extra item you want.
It would have been picked up before you got to the stage of ordering as you haven't had a quote sheet prepared yet...so no issue at all.
Our website is updated daily...as you'll be able to tell by some of the other brand pages - as deals are dated.“Official Company Representative
