Connect dishwasher as well as tap to screwdriver valve?

So under my sink I have 2 screwdriver valves that connect to flexible tap connector hoses for the sink mixer.

I want to also attach my dishwasher inflow which is a standard 'washing machine style' hose connector.

Can I get a Y / T fitting (or two fittings a 'T' and a size changer) that will screw on to the screwdriver valve (in place of the flexible tap connector) and have two 'outs' on to which I can screw both the dishwasher hose and the tab connector?

Thanks
I think....

Something like this should do the job.

    Lots more on eBay.

PS: I don't know if using that Y connector is good plumbing practice or not. Maybe a professional plumber will comment.

Do the flexible tap connectors and washing machine hoses generally have the same thread (and even size?

If you have copper pipe below the screwdriver valves then something like this is what you need, available at DIY shops or online.

    Yes.

3/4 inch BSP is the standard or universal size in the UK.

My preference would be for a Y connector.

Those self cutting devices can damage the pipe and can leak and installing it before the service valve is not a good idea in my opinion.

Well I have fitted several and if done carefully I have never had one leak yet, depending on who fitted the taps not all fitments have a service valve, that is a service valve for the dishwasher and there should be a main stop tap.

Another vote for not using self cutting connectors if you can avoid it :D

That little bit of copper that gets cut out has to go somewhere, and in this instance could foul the valve of the kitchen mixer :(
(And yes - seen it before )

no you can't from reading your limited description above, you have service valves for the taps, you need a washing machine tee, which you put inline on the cold copper pipe

That was my conclusion, presumably I need a short length of copper tube after the service valve and the the washing machine tee?
