Parkingeye Fine

Hi all. I've searched on the forum and read up but I gather writing my own post is the way to go? So here I go

I have on the 05/05/14 parked illegally apparently for a duration of 2 hours and 4 minutes where a limit of 1 hour 30 minute applied at the car park. It was a coop car park where I had parked and did pop into coop to shop so it's grounds on not shopping there are flawed. The only grounds they have the "charge" and it says charge and not "fine" is due to the duration of stay.

I have received a letter today of a fine of £90 but halved if paid within 14 days. What do you all suggest I do?

I suggest you read the newbies thread which will explain everything you need to know.

You have done nothing illegal and haven't received a fine

Can I correct a couple of things. This is not a "fine" and you did not do anything illegal as you did not break any laws, just some silly made-up rules .

Thank you for the quick replies. Yes I've had a quick look at them and it seems a little complicated at it all!

I did say and re-read the paper and yes it does say CHARGE instead of FINE so you are correct. How would I go by this do I ignore or appeal via POPLA?

Complicated to cut and paste the template first appeal?!
