Hi,

I consider changing existing MR16 Halogen light in bathroom to SMD LED.

I believe I need to change the transformer to suit? I wonder if anyone know 18W Driver transformer will work for 4W LED.

BTW, what is the main difference of LED driver and halogen one apart from output Watt? There are energy saving halogen bulb for 14W. If a 14W bulb use with these, will these transformer be damaged?

Edit: If anyone know any MR16 LED don't need changing transformer, let me know

Halogen bulb transformers usually provide AC which is no good for LED bulbs which require DC. As long as your LED requires 12V DC, the 18W LED driver should work. It appears, from the reviews, to tolerate a reduced load
