barclaycard reconstituted agreement and signatures

Hello,
Seem to be getting the run around from Barclaycard.
After them sending me a letter saying they couldn't send me the details required as my address didn't match the one they had on file (strange as I get the statements here every month..) Today I get a copy of the original agreement (reconstituted, with no signature(s) or mention of any PPI, which I know I had, as I tried to claim on it due to being on the dole, and they refused, back in 2001)
What can I do further to get the PPI information?
Oh, and the letter was rather snotty... "I am fully satisfied that the sum outstanding by you remains legally due and payable.... blah blah.. " 'If you don't pay we may register a default against you... blah.. blah...'
Not really the professional tone I'd expect from a simple request, or perhaps they're a little riled?
Thanks!
(I've yet to hear back from MBNA, who claim they have no record of my account, and asked for all my addresses since I took the CC out (something which I gave them in the initial letter anyway!))

Most agreements don't show you PPI on credit cards anyway. it is only loans. Not sure why you requested it to be honest.Oh, and the letter was rather snotty... Their response is actually quite fair. Most lenders on finding they do not have an original agreement will block the card for use until you sign a new one.
You dont appear to realise that what you have done as your request is typically used by people who are looking to get out of paying their debt. Not by people looking for PPI. They are correctly giving you advice in advance of you trying to do that.
If you start throwing legal worded requests at them then you need to expect to get legal worded responses. They are not riled or lacking professionalism. They are using professional and legal worded responses.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. to get the ppi information, look at your statement. If it's on there as a separate charge each month, you're paying it.
Then make a complaint.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0
