There are too many possibilities to list as to why you might have/choose to pull out out of the purchase (or why they might need to not sell). How can you word all those into a contract? Impossible. There was a case recently where a car/van drove into a house - causing major damage. Most of us said we'd pull out of purchasing it. What if you lost your job?

DRP - not just a case of 'trust'. They are still considered landlords and still have LL's legal obligations.

The vendor's solicitors are useless. It took them three weeks to send out the draft contract, then they sent it out missing so many things that should have been included. They also didn't put in for the lease extension (part of the purchase) when the should have. It took my solicitors 4 days and about 12 phone calls to chase them up as they simply weren't returning calls. This was on top of my having to change solicitors because mine were removed from the bank's panel (so 2 weeks in which my solicitors weren't chasing up the vendor's.)

    Thanks again.
