Boosting the Wireless Signals

Hi, I need some help please.
Dad and Nan live in Spain - Dad has a concept wireless box with a good speed of 8mbps (thats all I know) and both he and Nan need the signal. Dad is AOK as its in his house but Nan lives in her own bungalow around 50m away at the bottom of the garden. Picking up the signal is erratic. She did have an old Acer One with an adapter/antenna thing plugged in but I've bought her a new Dell laptop - the adapter does not run on Windows 8.
Dad already has a signal booster on your box but I need recommendations for a reception antenna that works with windows 8.
Its not worth while money wise to have her own internet access so we need to use Dads. She only uses the internet/laptop to surf, email and Skype.

That adapter that you have linked to should work OK. I have a couple of these for use in low signal areas...
TP-Link TL-WN722N 150M High Gain Wireless USB Adapter
They are plug and play with Win8. What doesn't work is the bundled utility which means that the advanced features are not accessible in Win8. They are also quite bulky.0 -
yes, that should do it, just remember to disable the internal wifi card on the laptop......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple0
