Letter from the Valuation Office - possibly increased council tax band

This happened to me when I moved in. The chap from the council came round and from what I remember he said that it was 'liveable' new area he was going to be measuring. I did also note that he was using some council drawings that were 50 years old - and had some errors on them too - which, when I pointed them out, all went in my favour and so the band wasn't changed.
My advice would be to be very friendly to your visitor and they may be more liable to let things go your way - human nature being what it is!!Gather ye rosebuds while ye may0 -

No, as the person inspecting may not be the one who will make the decision.
Finally it will be the VOA (England and Wales) or Assessor (Scotland) not the council who make the inspection for a CT band increase.If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0
