hi
I want to apply for my first credit card but dont know which ones right for me.
I've never touched my overdraft and I use cash machines alot.
As far as i know my credit rating should be ok (ish). Never had a loan or any debts.
Please could someone advise me on the best type of card.
thanks!

I would always advise:-
1) If you intend on paying your bills as soon as the statements come through, preferably by direct debit then a card with cash back these change I have an american express but some places don't except them. I get about £100 a year, not loads but always comes in handy and tax free as it comes off my bill in May.
2) If you intend on not paying back as soon as the statement comes through which I would never recomend other than in an emergency, you will need to look at the interest charges as these can be huge:eek:
I hope that helps Matins got lots of suggestions on the main website as the details always change he keeps them updated.
I hope that helps

Just a quick warning in case you are not aware. Don't use a credit card for cash withdrawals.0 -
If it's your first credit card its probably best to try your bank first because other CC providers wouldn't like the fact that you probably have very little on your credit file.
Set up a DD to pay the whole amouint off each month so you never pay any interest.
Use the card regularly but only for things you would anyway be buying.0
