Help! Used wrong card on paypal

I bought something online earlier using PayPal, I was meant to pay using credit card (capital one) but I forgot to change the funding source so it is coming from my bank account. I don't have enough in there.

It says payment complete in paypal, does that mean I will be overdrawn tomorrow? I have no overdraft so that means bank charges for me.

I haven't tried to cancel the order because the refund will take too long.

I read some thing about sending some money from credit card to my paypal account. Will that work?

Unless you have spare funds in another account - get cash on the credit card to pay into your bank.
This will be expensive unless you can clear quickly.

Will the bank not give you an overdraft?

I get paid on the 1st. I tried to get an overdraft last week only for £50 just to cover things like this but I was denied and I'm not sure why.

Could i add my cc to my girlfriends paypal account and then send myself a gift and withdraw it?

Cancel the 'PayPal' direct debit that is active on your bank account immediately. This will save you the fees of unauthorised overdraft and/or direct debit refunds and will result in PayPal automatically using your second funding option, which is usually the debit/credit card on file, when they realise they cannot take money from your account.

Adding your credit card to your girlfriends account wouldn't work as the card must be in her name.

You could open a second PayPal account in your own name (it'd have to be a business account if you already have a personal account), add the credit card and then 'gift' your first PayPal account using your credit card. Sometimes however PayPal add a 24/48/72 hour hold on funds, which would make your situation worse.
