Partial balance transfer

I have a Barclaycard with a balance of £1900 (£600 at 0% from my last balance transfer till September)

I thought I’d apply for a Halifax credit card to transfer the full balance to 0% but they only would give a £750 limit, so I transferred the max over.

It just hit me that Barclaycard might reduce or cancel the 0% rate on the £600 portion or use that “portion” towards the transfer amount, do they do that?

My question is does doing a partial balance transfer when you already have some balance on a promotional rate effect that rate?. The idea was that I would have £1350 on 0% across both cards and just repay the remainder as normal.

The balance transfer will be treated as any other payment and will reduce the balance on the interest-bearing part of your balance, leaving £1350 at 0% as you expected.

As long as you keep within your credit limit and make at least the minimum payment by the due date every month, BC can't remove the existing 0% interest offer.

Under credit laws they have to transfer the balance with the highest interest over (same applies when you pay your bill).
